Review summary

An abundance of fun for the whole family on a brand new cruise ship which felt like a moving Vegas entertainment resort with all that it had to offer!

Embarkation

5 out of 5
We arrived in an Uber from the airport with hand luggage and our embarkation was quick and smooth

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
Great variety of food options from the restaurants and food halls with buffets to the a-la-carte dinner restaurants, including great cocktails and mock tails for the kids

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
Such a huge selection and activities and all well run from the waterpark, mini-golf, wide selections of pools, surf rider, fitness center, rock climbing, and indoor games, pool and arcade for the kids.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
The Wizard of Oz was a Broadway calibre show both in terms of production quality and performers - amazing to think what they’ve achieved … on a ship!

Children's Programs

5 out of 5
We had teenagers with us and they were very happy with everything the cruise ship had to offer but we didn’t use the kids clubs

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Extremely friendly and helpful staff, in particular our waiter Ahmed.

Ship Quality

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Very modern, clean and well designed cabin. A bit of a squeeze with the sofa bed pulled out during our stay; but we were hardly in our cabin so it didn’t really matter

Ship tip

Explore the full ship on Day 1 to make sure you don’t miss out on all the great things the Icon has to offer.

Ports of call

Coco Bay was a lot of fun with a wide variety of things to do or just relax by a pool or on the beach. We enjoyed the waterpark, beach and playing volleyball. Reason I didn’t give 5 stars was the limited food options. They only had buffet style restaurants and no a-la-carte options (at least we didn’t see any on our trip)

Must have missed the Snack Shack on Coco Kay which has great Chicken Sandwiches - better than Chick-fil-A by far.
