Because if you do like to drink endlessly it is well worth it….but if you consume 4 or less drinks a day it’s not worth it. Also consider how much time will be spent in ports, in other words not drinking. Do you need specialty coffees, bottled water, soda and alcoholic beverages from morning to night? We are Diamond members and get 4 complimentary drinks per day, sometimes we don’t even use all 4 each. I do buy a case of water though, just so as not to waste my complimentary drinks on bottled water
