Food and Dining
3 out of 5
The Windjammer impresses with its diverse food offerings, although the limited seating arrangements persists, a common occurrence on cruises. The operational hours are standard.
In the main dining room, breakfast and lunch/brunch options are considered standard, with the standout Key Lime Pie earning well-deserved praise. Despite the friendly and attentive service, there's room for improvement in terms of efficiency, as wait times for seating and completing breakfast stretched to over an hour and a half.
The main dining room, while generally good, presents a variable culinary experience. Service consistently shines, being both top-notch and accommodating to dietary needs. However, the food quality can be hit or miss.
Park Cafe, although enjoyable, needs extended hours, especially considering the acclaim for its phenomenal roast beef sandwich, fresh salad bar, and the enticing variety of rotating sandwiches and desserts.
A notable concern voiced is the desire for more complimentary dining options. With three paid restaurants and only two quick-service options, passengers express a wish for greater diversity in complimentary dining experiences on this ship.
In essence, the culinary journey aboard the Grandeur of the Seas showcases both delightful highlights and areas for enhancement. The feedback underscores the importance of refining the dining offerings to cater to a broader range of preferences and ensuring a seamless and efficient service experience."

Ship Quality
4 out of 5
The ship exudes a classic cruise feel, evoking charm that newer ships may lack. However, a call for love is evident to modernize the vessel. WIFI issues persist, affecting staterooms and public areas (even the gym). It appears to work best closer to front of the ship. Worn wood, rust stains, and stained walls hint at the need for refurbishment, while worn upholstery further emphasizes the ship's aging.
Despite these challenges, the small layout contributes to an intimate atmosphere. However, the arrangement of areas on different decks poses some navigational challenges. On a positive note, the ship boasts large windows across various bars and seating areas, providing breathtaking views of the water.
In essence, the Grandeur of the Seas maintains a timeless cruise ambiance, yet improvements are crucial to address wear and connectivity issues. The small layout and expansive windows add unique character, creating a balance between classic charm and the need for modern upgrades."
Cabin / Stateroom
4 out of 5
Our experience in the large stateroom that accommodated 5 adults was exceptional. The generously-sized bedroom with ample storage and a full bathroom added convenience. The comfortable pull-out bed and all beds provided restful nights.
The living room's abundance of storage was appreciated, while the second bedroom, though spacious, could benefit from improved storage options. More outlets throughout the stateroom would enhance convenience, and the addition of a hall or main closet is suggested.
The balcony, though narrow, proved functional, accommodating a table and four loungers, providing a pleasant space to enjoy the surroundings. Overall, the stateroom offered a comfortable and spacious retreat, with some potential for minor enhancements in storage and convenience."
However, despite the positive aspects, maintenance concerns were evident. Rust in the bathroom and on the deck, along with worn wood and carpet, underscored the need for urgent attention. The spacious living room, second bedroom, and balcony, while enjoyable, would benefit significantly from addressing these maintenance issues to enhance the overall guest experience. Despite these concerns, the stateroom offered a comfortable retreat with potential for improvement."
