Review summary

We were expecting a pristine ship having just come out of dry dock and a refurb just two weeks before, but walking the promenade deck, rust was everywhere, windows needed replacing as they were fogged up and it didn't look "refurbed" at all from the outside. The rooms however were obviously re-done and they looked better. Flat screen TV's and information monitors near the elevators were a nice touch as was the centrum shows. The addition of specialty dining was also nice except for CHOPS. There the noise from the centrum made dining not so enjoyable.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
Food was always warm, choices OK and the staff superb and the violinist and guitar music was always a great night.

Entertainment

3 out of 5
One entertainer missed the boat due to weather, the Beatles review was good, the others, so so... The ships singers were not among the better ones we've had on other cruises.

Service and Staff

1 out of 5
Guest services lied to us about their security staff stealing my wife's prescription sunglasses and Eric couldn't handle a problem in a timely manner. We spent too many days trying to sort things out.

Ship Quality

3 out of 5
She needs a LOT of work in public areas like the promenade.

Cabin / Stateroom

3 out of 5
A bit cramped, shower way too small, but everything you need sans refrigerator.

Pros: Good Food

Cons: Terrible Guest Relation Staff

Recommends Grandeur of the Seas? No.
