Review summary

Signed up for the ultimate behind the scene ship tour as soon as I boarded (waitlist). Got on tour on last day at sea. Awesome tour from 8:40 to almost noon ending with champagne and chocolate strawberries on the bridge with the captain. Saw Dr. and sickbay, Security officer and anchors, robes and chains, theatre backstage and dressing room with costumes, chef and kitchen, bakery. Purser and storage of food ready to be prepped. Printing and photo areas, peek at crew dining areas. Laundry guys and cool machines. Engineering and the bridge. Six heavy oil engines generate electrical power to power two propellers and “hotel” part of vessel. All water made from salt water! Ship was traveling with three engines running at the time. Fascinating tour.

Ultimate ship tour takes names for waitlist once onboard. No pre book option I know of. Tour was on last sea day.

The tour sounds awesome. This is the first I've heard of it. Didn't see it offered on our last cruise. Can you pre book it? Great review.

Glad to read you had such a great trip. I am traveling in May to Alaska and can’t wait to see the updated Grand lady.

Great inside cabin with new large tv. New carpet and friendly steward. Slept well on nice bed. Good food and friends in dining room. Many good food choices in buffet area with new carpet. Awesome beverage station with self-serve coffee, milk, cream, ice, water and tea. Enjoyed choir, karaoke, shows, bands, magic, ventriloquist (man with puppet), dancers, singers and trivia and games. Bingo was huge jackpot, but did not participate. Enjoyed casino video poker and slots. Loved receiving spa treatments while ship was moving. Went pool, jacuzzi and bar hoping (eight jacuzzis). Relaxed in the sun on my favorite loungers on deck one five aft starboard and port side
