Review summary

We did the round trip to Hawaii cruise out of San Francisco and really enjoyed it. People keep saying that the ship is old and in disrepair, but I found the interior areas beautiful. The carpeting looks new and I never saw any stains. The outside areas could probably use a little sprucing up, but I still thought it looked great. Food in the MDR was mostly good, and our wait staff was amazing! We were in Club Class and liked having the same wait staff every time. Our waiter kept calling my husband Mike though, when his name is actually Tony. Lol. We just let it go. The food in the Crown Grill was great. We went there on our last night and wish we had gone sooner. My steak was delicious and the Black and Blue Onion Soup is so good. I was interested in trying the pizza by the pool because I had heard so much about it, both good and bad. Unfortunately, the bad reviews were spot on. The pizza was awful. Reminded me of the bad frozen pizza we had as kids. No seasonings, no flavor. Our cabin was really nice. We had a tub which was great. The balcony was a little small, but since the weather wasn’t that good, we didn’t spend much time on it. We were located on level 9, midship, so we felt very little movement. Next time I’m bringing my own blow dryer though, because the one provided wasn’t very good. Our room steward was decent, but not very friendly and didn’t replace the used glasses or change the sheets the entire two weeks I don’t think. The steward down the hall was very nice and always greeted us though. We found the other employees on the ship to be very nice and helpful. The bartenders were great and it was always easy to get a drink from them. I wish there had been more servers though by the pool areas. The Molokini Mai Tai’s were delicious! And they went down so easily! There were plenty of activities to participate in (or not!) and the shows were really good. I don’t know if I would do this itinerary again though. Ten sea days was a little much. I would definitely go on this ship again however. Would like to do the ten day to Mexico sometime. 😎🍹
