Review summary

So many negative people/reviews out there. . . My Wife and I spent our 10 year anniversary aboard the Grand Princess from May 28th to June 7th. I could sit here and list off every small thing that went wrong, or bugged me but what is the point on focusing on the negative? The important things worth focusing on are the positives. Such as the excellent staff that took the time to learn your names, remembered your preffered coffee or bar drink orders, and genuinely seemed happy to see you again day in and out. The amazing views, scenery, and wildlife that Alaska had to offer and The Grand doing everything possible to give you an opportunity to experience it all. Were there things that could have been different or better? sure, but you could find that on any ship. If you want perfection then save up and buy a private yacht with your own staff, food, and decor otherwise enjoy the good and live with the bad. We had a great 10 year anniversary aboard the Grand and would not change a thing. Memories are made from both the good and the bad, thats life.

Great comments! We were on Grand Princess Jan 2016 from SF to Hawaii, two weeks! We had storms from hell going over with terrible seas! The Captain even shut off the top deck one day to anyone! Felt like we were on the Poseidon! But we had a wonderful time !

Let us not for get the crown grill, Alfredo's pizza and the international cafe...I guess there is a theme to the old guy's priorities

There's good and bad on each cruise. Been on 17 and going in Apr 2018. The best part is doing & seeing different things, meeting new friends, and RELAXING!!

Vickisoup, comments not directed at you, sorry to give that impression. Your comments were fair. What is somewhatâ unique about this review app though is the ability to comment on other's reviews. So you are right, people do get flak.

Vicki...I do not think that the comments were directed to your posts...there have been posts by others that complained about minor issues and some went beyond blatant exaggerations to laughable made up tales...so do not feel that the comments are directed at you personally

You and we were on the same cruise last month, romantikcruiser. I think you will find I left a balanced review, myself, but didn't expect to be judged for it. BTW: that was my 17th cruise. Can't believe how much flak I'm getting for just offering my opinion on others' right to share their experience. Geesh.

Vicki ...I love cruising and I love the Grand...was on her august of last year May of this year and will take her to Hawaii...as much as I love it I have commented about drink packages lectures and EFFY...but when the complaints are exaggerated to the point that they are clearly made up...they should be answered...or a new cruiser might panic and pull out...some concerns should be pointed out to give others things to consider...but when it is time to call bull...experienced cruisers should challenge

Good point Vickisoup, all honest reviews are welcome. But since this is not a Princess app they probably won't get any feedback from here. We should contact the cruise line directly with honest opinions of how to improve their product. Outlandish complaints based on unrealistic expectations should be challenged so dishonest reviews do not taint inexperienced cruiser's impressions or even worse pressure a cruise line to make detrimental changes to try to please chronic complainers.

I agree, to an extent. If I had made my decision based on a bad review from one persons own personal experience then I would have missed out on a great experience. Take the good with the bad is all I am saying. :-)

Happy Anniversary! Reviews are allowed to be honest about the trip. There's good and bad. It helps people make decisions and hopefully gives Princess some important feedback

Just getting back today on the Grand from 10 days to Alaska. It was wonderful! Saw whales from the ship, saw a glacier calve from our balcony. Did some things bother us? Sure, they had no non-dairy creamer. We coped with it...lol

We were on the thanksgiving cruise to Hawaii last year and despite the ' hole' in the boat had an amazing time - yes of course you can nit pick - but is every land based holiday perfect ?

I agree 100%! we went on a cruise in 2009, three days before, hubby had an accident at work and had a finger amputated...we were lucky he didn't lose his whole hand and we got to go....did another cruise this year in April, found out hubby had a spot on his lung in january....again, not sure if we would get to go....he has to have a piece of his lung taken out next month....don't sweat the small stuff people, enjoy life while you can! We are so confident, we bought a credit for another cruise....hoping to go to Alaska next year! #lovinglifewhilewecan
