Review summary

This cruise is great for people who want some time to read, knit or just chill. It's the first time I've come back from a vacation and didn't need some time to recover from all the activity. If you are the kind of person who needs a lot of structured activity this might not be for you.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
A great variety of dining options as well as some tasty food. WE sampled food from the two pizza parlors along with the burger and hot dog bar. The dining room had a good selection of options. The food court also had a lot of options.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
Normally we don't go to the shows but we did on this ship. We really enjoyed them. The MOVIES UNDER THE STARS was fun and we saw a couple of those.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
The staff was really helpful with our requests for incidentals like ice in the room\, a power cord for a sleeping device and taking care of stamping and mailing postcards.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
The Grand Princess is a lovely ship. We found some wonderful places to read books and relax. The pool areas were fun not only for swimming but also to have a snack.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Good sized room in great condition.

Pros: Interesting destinations with lots of time to relax.

Cons: Disembarking was a bit difficult.
