We had a great time. Wish the port times were longer. We’ll do it again someday!

Ship experiences
Food and Dining
4 out of 5
The food was good. The main dining room had the best food. It was consistently good. As with anything, there were exceptional dishes and some that weren’t that good. Royal Caribbean’s is 100% better than Carnival for sure!! The buffet was so so. We’d been on a Royal Caribbean cruise 20 years ago and the buffet back then was phenomenal. This year it was very mediocre. Princess Cruises has a better buffet. The waitstaff is superb! In any dining venue, the waiters are just excellent!! They bend over backwards to make sure all guest are happy and having a good time.
Onboard Activities
3 out of 5
The activities were so so. The trivia really wasn’t fun and the venue they held all the trivia in was too small.
Entertainment
4 out of 5
I wish the shows were more current. They seemed to be geared toward the older crowd. The ice show was a different change in typical shows. They had a Argentinian show that was good but it was their very last show. There was a Broadway musical revue and it was not really going at all. There was a comedian, Nate, he was awful. There was a comedian that used a unicycle and he was very entertaining!
Service and Staff
5 out of 5
The service and staff were superb!! Top notch. We loved them all and considered them friends!! We tipped extra extra because they deserved it!! And anyone who complains about the crew are just miserable people in real life so don’t take their reviews with a grain of salt.
Also, there were no chairs at the Solarium Pool. An attendant went and found one in a different area and brought it to me. So nice!!!
Ship Quality

Explorer was super clean. There was crew constantly cleaning. Especially the elevator buttons and hand railings. The room attendant was AMAZING!! His name is Aris!!
Cabin / Stateroom
5 out of 5
We loved our cabin! It faced out the back and even though it was considered “obstructive view”, it wasn’t. The balcony was twice the size as regular room balconies. It had 2 lounge chairs, 2 regular chairs and a table. 7 of us had room service breakfast on the balcony one morning.
Ship tip
Eat in the dining room for all of your meals. And don’t be a jerk and save pool chairs all day long unless you are sitting in it.
We did a Royal Caribbean snorkel trip. AMAZING. Open bar on the way back. Loved it. After the morning snorkeling we took an open air bus/tram to Eagle Beach, $5 each way. It’s real easy to get around. The beaches are beautiful!
