Review summary

Overall is a very good and relaxing cruise, very good food, drinks, and activities. Since you have two full days at sea, one each way.. and dock for a night, you have plenty of time to do all you want at your leisure. Bermuda doesnt have much things to do, be warned ! But, we wanted to take this vacation to relax and de-stress, so the objective was fully accomplished.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

3 out of 5
Overall food is very good, no complaints there .. Excellent service at the main dining rooms.. I wont rate this part as Excellent , because Portofino was a huge huge huge disappointment, I even filed a complaint to Royal Caribbean about our dinner there.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
Bingos, Ice skating shows, and activities in general very good to excellent .. The dancing shows were a bit slow, I even got asleep at times haha

Service and Staff

3 out of 5
No complaints at all about the staff, extremely friendly, able, and willing to help... EXCEPT for Portofino, they have no clue about top notch restaurant service, period.

Ship Quality

3 out of 5
Size and layout is very good, not tremendously huge, which is a pain sometimes, not tiny .. very good gym and fitness facilities, great climbing wall, bars, and the indoor mall is cool ... Very good cleaning staff !!.. Decor in public areas is looks nice...

Cabin / Stateroom

3 out of 5
Size is Ok, average for a ship like this. BUT staterooms look dated, bulky TVs, old carpets, furniture in very bad condition.. There were some squeaking sounds in the ceiling and walls, produced by the ships motion and vibration, all day, all night, not letting you sleep at times ! If there is a part of the ship that Royal Caribbean needs to put money into, it would definitively have to be the rooms !

Ports of call

King's Wharf, Bermuda

Honestly Bermuda doesnt have much to offer except for the beaches .. We went to horseshoe bay beach which was very nice (pink sand.. where???).. Duty free shopping , typical of the islands, is almost non existent... As for nightlife and dining, we prefered to stay at the ship, as we didnt see anything we liked on land...
Don't Miss: Beaches

Pros: Ships public facilities in general

Cons: Staterooms poor maintenance

Recommends Explorer of the Seas? Yes!
