Review summary

We were first time cruisers on a budget as this was a family vacation. Our 5 day cruise to Bermuda on Royal Carribean's Explorer of the Seas was everything we had hoped it would be -- and more. The ship is like a floating resort -- everything you could possibly wish for is on this ship. The ship is beautiful and immaculate. The staff courteous and attentive. We had a wonderful time and look forward to sailing with Royal Carribean again.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

3 out of 5
The only negative was that the kitchen had difficulty in achieving "medium" when cooking beef. It was either rare or well done.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
Royal Carribean succeeds in offering something for everyone.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Our wait staff at dinner was exceptional. Top rate.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
The staff aims to please.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Everytime we left our stateroom we came back to a clean and refreshed room.

Ports of call

King's Wharf, Bermuda

5 out of 5
Nice area. Everything to do is easily accessible on foot. The evening glass bottom boat excursion into the Bermuda Triangle was a bust and so was the watered down complimentary drink, which turned out to be something different than what was stated in the trip's description.
Don't Miss: Dolphin Quest. Expensive, but worth it.

Pros: The amenities of the ship -- outstanding!

Cons: That we weren't warned ahead of time that one of our days in port was a public holiday and many things were either closed or operating on a limited schedule.
