Review summary

I paid a very good price for this cruise through . And based on the low price and the age of the ship, I was pleasantly surprised by everything on board. The food was fair; but the entertainment was excellent! The ship has been pleasantly refurbished and absolutely loved the three Jacuzzi's on the top deck. Also, having the band play music on deck added to the festive atmosphere. The service from everyone on board was mind-boggling excellent! The only thing that truly bothered me, is that the drinking water was horrible! I would however, travel again on the Empress of the Seas.

The mattresses were as hard as rocks. The Steward did try to help by placing blankets on top of the mattresses. That didn't help much.

Ship tip

If you are not traveling by plane, bring your own drinking water.

My wife and I had a great time on the empress but yes its kind of small but over all enjoyed our time nd the staff where awesome

Empress is a much smaller ship and does not have a teen center. You might be better off on one of the other ships you list as more activities are available for your kids. Go to cruise critic to see more reviews. Was one both majesty and enchantment with our kids and they had plenty to do.

I am here having a hard time between empress vs majesty vs enchantment for december. I live in fl and been to bahamas already with wife only, now want to go with the kids, 16 and 8.
