Review summary

Charlottetown was by far the best. Portland was liveliest. Really great place.

Embarkation

5 out of 5
Quite easy. A long queue but it moved quickly enough. They took some bottles of coke off me. Said you can only take cans on and not bottles. Probably my fault for not reading properly.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
Thought the food was really good. Especially the speciality restaurants. Had a bit of room service and was decent too. Would have preferred more draft options for beer. Only had Newcastle brown which (as someone who went to uni in Newcastle) isn’t something you can consider. We had premium package. Any drinks we had left over at the end of the day we ordered on room service and loaded our fridge up.

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
Varied activities. Happy with the choice.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
Good entertainment. Enjoyed stuff in explorer lounge and also the theatre. Cruise director was ubiquitous.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Good service. Friendly staff. The app was a bit hit and miss. They always sorted the order though if went wrong. The people who take your photos were great. That’s a good system too where the pictures link to account

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
No complaints. It is as we expected. A bit of an older ship but everything we needed. Everything was clean and you could tell there was pride in keeping it.

Cabin / Stateroom

4 out of 5
Everything that was needed. A bit aged. Good wardrobe space.

Ship tip

Load your fridge with free drinks at end of the day. Anticipate a queue when you go for dinner, even if have a reservation. Book your dinner times before you leave. Ask a waiter in person rather than use the app, it’s quicker. Learn the name of your deck, you will be asked for your cabin number and the amount of times I said R and they thought I said A etc.

Disembarkation

Easy

I'm a bit perplexed. When you store the extra drinks in the fridge, when do you drink them since you get more drinks the next day?

Appreciate your feedback. Interesting tip, never considered that. Glad you enjoyed your cruise, in spite of the beer choice.
