Review summary

Great Holiday Cruise seeing Panama Canal for the first time

Embarkation

4 out of 5
The actual embarkation at port Everglades was very organized especially since we already had our medallions and got to check in at the green lane. Even the blue line was moving very quickly staff were very nice and helpful. Only downside is that since the port was completely full and had 8 cruise ships that meant getting a Uber from the airport took us an hour and a half and the princess transfers had already booked up, on top of that the entrance to the port was backed up severely that it took us another half hour just to enter the port, wasn’t the cruise lines fault just frustrating

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

3 out of 5
Food was overall good, wasn’t the best cruise food we’ve had but it wasn’t bad either. It definitely depended on where you went and what time you went. Buffet was good but extremely congested and almost all the time you couldn’t find a seat. The main problem we experienced with food onboard was in the dining room, they got my fathers order wrong almost every single night even after repeating the order back to him, service sometimes was slow but the waiters were very nice and attentive. We ate at crown grill Christmas Day and New Year’s Eve and the food was incredible, planks bbq however was not worth the upcharge but the appetizer was really good. Drinks were always very good and waiters in the buffet and restaurant always came around to see if I wanted a refill or another beverage.

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5
Amazing cruise staff however we had an issue with one particular family that won every single trivia and onboard activity. the first couple of days it was fine but on a 15 day cruise it got kinda annoying because if you wanted to play trivia or go to an onboard activity you would go into it knowing who would win. The cruise staff kept letting them win which was disappointing because we sat next to them and they used their phones to cheat at every trivia, it was still super fun and we loved going to game shows I just wished other people had a chance to participate and win things onboard.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
Trivia and game shows were always fun, loved explorers lounge in particular

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Staff were always extremely helpful, loved guest services and cruise staff

Ship Quality

3 out of 5
Room was nice kinda outdated, lots of room. Our room steward did a decent job of making sure everything was amazing although the first time in the room we did find a pair of dirty underwear on the seat from the people before us. Loved how the medallion automatically unlocks your room when you are a couple doors down if your hands are full. Ship design was weird and high touch surfaces could have been cleaned more but gorgeous classic ship feel

Cabin / Stateroom

Ship tip

Get medallions shipped to you if you get the chance, book dining and excursions early, get airport transfers

Disembarkation

It was fine, fast in the terminal even with delay due to technical issues, get the ship transfer to airport it’s only 35 dollars and that way nobody had to fight to get an Uber
