Review summary

This was our second Disney cruise, which we booked while on our first Disney cruise. As previously stated, it was a great experience. I wanted to book another while on board, but financial constraints (Disney is expensive) and the fact that our daughter was ageing out of the "magical" Disney mystique, we decided to wait & look to the more mainstream lines like Carnival or RCL.

Embarkation

5 out of 5
Smooth as silk. We were Silver Level, so embarkation put us in the "fast" line. We got there when there was a lull in the action so we were boarding the ship within 10 minutes of entering the terminal.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
Awesome. Although we only ate in the MDR''s and not the specialty restaurants, everything was fresh and delicious.

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
Pool, movies, arcade, character experiences... all great

Entertainment

5 out of 5
As I said before, professional & pure Disney

Children's Programs

2 out of 5
My daughter had turned 13 at that time. found the teen club "OK" but not exciting or entertaining. No worries, she liked hanging out with her cool parents.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
All great

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
Classical, from the "golden age of sailing

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Deck 7 midship standard Balcony cabin. I can''t remember the cabin number. Very comfortable for 3 people.

Ship tip

As I said before, go for more than 3 days. This was a 5 day cruise and it hwas STILL too short

Ports of call

Miami, Florida Did not visit port

Flew in the day of the cruise

George Town, Grand Cayman

5 out of 5
Very nice island. We visited a turtle hatchery. Very fun and informative.

Castaway Cay (Disney Private Island)

5 out of 5
Great, just like my last review.

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
Easy and calm. No cattle calls

Disney is an awesome cruise and yes it is higher prices than other cruise, the same can be said for other cruiselines and yes with Disney you are paying for the service, even with free sodas its nice. We love Disney and I tell people my advice is if you like the Disney image and the parks then you will love the ship and you can book a 7 night in summer on Disney and then the same cost do 2 Royal cruises and maybe 4 Carnival for the 2 of Royal. Its Different for each person and the main part is you made memories and had fun!

After having five teenagers go through teen clubs, I can say with confidence, the degree of fun in a teen club directly corresponds with finding a friend. If they happen to click with someone, the club is a blast, if they don't then it's boring. It has almost nothing to do with the quality of the program. If they enjoy the people, all they need is an empty room to have fun. If they are not comfortable, it doesn't matter how great the program, they will not want to go.

Sounds like a fun trip.

You can book a suite on RC for the price of an inner on Diz.

Thanks for the review. I want to try a Disney cruise but because of cost would probably be a 3 or 4 night one.
