Review summary

My best friend and I celebrated our 40th birthdays onboard the Disney Wonder. I had never cruised before so I have nothing to compare it to. With that said, I had a great time! The ship is absolutely stunning! There was plenty to do for adults traveling without children. We met some fantastic people who also left their children home. We really enjoyed trivia in the Crown and Fin Pub. Azure Nightclub was a fun venue for various adult only events. The Quiet Cove adults only pool area was so peaceful. Food was so good in all the restaurants. I love the rotational dining, where you are assigned to a different restaurant each night and your wait staff travels with you! We also took advantage of the up charge restaurant, Palo, to celebrate our birthdays. Totally worth the extra $30! Cabanas buffet was great for breakfast. Shows were so good. Disney themed of course! So magical! I mean who doesn’t love to catch a glimpse of their favorite Disney character every now and again?! Love that you can get free soda all day long at self serve machines. And self serve soft serve ice cream!! There are only 2 small gift shops and no casino but that was fine by me. We had a room with a veranda. For just the 2 of us the room was HUGE! Loved the 2-room bathroom. One room was toilet & sink, other room was shower & sink. You can separate the living area from sleeping area with a curtain. Our sailing was a repositioning cruise from Galveston, Texas to San Juan, Puerto Rico with one stop in Falmouth, Jamaica. We went Bobsledding & to Dunns River Falls in Ocho Rios - so fun! We spent an extra day in San Juan (before flying back home to New York) and took advantage of a city tour. San Juan was beautiful! No one does customer service like Disney!
