We were there for my kids (3 and 5) so we did a lot of the character pics, there's always a line, usually 15-30 minutes, the characters are good with the kids and talk a bit, get hugs and pics. The swimming pools on the main deck are all shallow for kids, which was good for us. We loved the dinners and pirate party.only issues we had were elevators and the Disney adults pushing their way up in front of kids to see the characters
Embarkation
5 out of 5
We showed up at 1215 for our 1pm times lot and had enough time to unload th3 bags and park the car. Once they called our timeslot things went fast
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
4 out of 5
We ate at the dinner places and the buffet. Food was decent, the dinner places made the food to fancy for me but it was good. If a dessert doesn't jump out at you id suggest just getting the mickey ice cream bar from the kids menu. My dad (he's nearly 70) did that 3 of the 4 days and always enjoyed it, the fancy desserts were just ok in my opinion
Onboard Activities
3 out of 5
If you have little ones or don't like staying up late you won't be able to see any of the live shows as they are at 530, 830 and 1030, we had the 545 dinner time and 2 kids who weren't going to be staying up until the shows were over. The Disney adults loved it but the people with little ones missed out.
Entertainment
3 out of 5
There was stuff to do like character appearances but nothing that really jumped out and said, this is amazing. I had my 2 young kids with me so we were limited to not seeing the new movies (all showing were pg-13) in the indoor theater.
Children's Programs
4 out of 5
Some kids stayed there the whole time. Ours stayed for a bit. Noticed a lot of the younger kids didn't want to go back to oceaneers club. Some parents forced the kids to, when ours said they didn't want to go back we had to find other things to entertain them with, and there's not a ton if you don't do the clubs.
Service and Staff
5 out of 5
The staff was excellent. I rarely tip over the required amounts on cruises as I'm already paying a lot, but this time people got extra tips. Staff was great.
Ship Quality
2 out of 5
Cleanliness is 5 star, design is -1 star. Some idiot made the elevator buttons touchscreens so anyone brushing up against them hits all the buttons, the elevators are in the middle so instead of front middle and back elevators and stairs there are just 2 in the middle... the designer should be flogged and then fired.
Cabin / Stateroom
4 out of 5
We upgraded for a veranda, it was nice but we didn't use it much, ill go back to an interior room next time. As for the cabin itself it was nicely laid out with everything needed to sleep
Ship tip
Don't get in full elevators as if anyone rubs the panel all the floors get selected. We were on 8 so it wasn't too far of a walk to things (stuff is on 3-5). If you have kids go to the arendelle and marvel dinners. 1923 has best food but no show
Sorry you chose to skip Main Show for sit down dinners. Why didn't you attend a 5:30 show and just get buffet dinner after?
Not sure if you were on Wish, but they have 8 elevators in rear of ship and 8 elevators mid ship.
