Review summary

This was our first time on Princess. We normally sell Holland America and Celebrity. Overall, great cruise! We would definitely sail them again. While we weren’t crazy about the ship, the many positives with service, entertainment and dining room food made it a really enjoyable experience.

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
We were Reserve class which put us in a different part of the dining room. It was great! Less chaotic. Like the old days of cruising where your server knew you and catered to your needs. Food was excellent. On the other hand, the buffet in the world market was awful. Fortunately, there are other options on the ship and you can avoid it.

Entertainment

I was blown away by the number of live bands on this ship. Really differentiated this cruise.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Bar service was the best we have ever had. Every staff member we interacted with was great.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
I will give it a 5 for cleanliness. We loved the Retreat pool. Our mini suite was great. But I would give the ship a 3 for design. The other reviews are right - it is confusing to get around. We also felt that there is a lot of glitz/bling. The Piazza feels like a shopping mall. Public area furniture is cheap feeling. I would take this boat again but it wasn’t my favorite.

Ship tip

Use the Retreat Pool. Quiet. Great bar service.

Walked off at 7 am and we were on a flight from LAX at 8:15 am. Unreal.
