Review summary

The cruise ship needs a new chef and some new recipes.  The food was very up and down.  The Horizon buffet was terrible.  Had a hard time getting a seat for breakfast and lunches.  The food at Sabatini's was very good, and even the food in the Bottacelli dining room was only fare for breakfast.  Cold food that should have been hot was a regular occurrence.  And none of the dining rooms or buffet could make a decent omelet or scramble eggs.  The beds were lumpy and sagging even when I ordered a mattress topper.

It was ok. Nothing special. The Regal Princess is the best.

I was expecting a lot more out of Princess being that they are supposed to be a step up from Carnival but was very disappointed. The rooms were nice and the ship was clean but everything else was very underwhelming. The fact that you need to pay to use the Sanctuary is rediculous (adult-only areas on Carnival and RC are free) and it seemed like everything was an up charge. The food wasn't bad, it was just blah. I would only cruise Princess again if they had an itinerary that interests me. Otherwise, I'll stick with Carnival, RC and NCL.

What time did you disembark? I was wondering as my hotel will send a car to pick us up but I cannot find any timings anywhere?

Sorry that ship doesn't come up to your standards, but all of the Princess ship's we have been on have always been very good, I'm a retired chef, and know how hard it is to please all of the customers of the time and some are impossible ! as for the omelettes I've instructed the chef when making my omelettes as how I like it and most take on boared and thank me for the and the advice, so if you tell them how you like your omelette or scrambled eggs, before they start may help (communication) allows works for me.most people don't understand how difficult it is to please people like you. As for the mattress toppers we've had no problem with having two put on our bed, a little tip when you first meet your steward give them a tip most of ours are always very helpful, if not we tell them.
