Great Cruise...But

Sail Date: June 01, 2009

Reviewed: 7 years ago

Traveled As: Couple

Room Type: Suite

Overall, our experience was very positive.
The ship is suberb, but needs some improvements
with customer service, especially English
speaking guests.

Pros: Brand new ship, beautiful, clean

Cons: Did not extend fully to English speaking guests

Recommends Costa Pacifica? Yes!

Food and Dining
We dined primarily in New York, New York.
The lunch menus were of better quality than
our dinner menus. Sometimes the portions,
especially at dinner were too small.
Service and Staff
We found that some of the staff did not have the
right information we were seeking. Our main
frustration was when we ended our cruise in Citavechia,
and we had arranged our transfer through Costa, to Rome.
We were told by several staff members, even Deborah, our
English speaking representative, that we could leave
at 9:15AM. After leaving the ship, we were then told that
the transfer would not leave until 10:30AM. The reps
organizing the transfers were not helpful, blaimed the
Costa Ship crew. We did not leave until 11AM. We only had
1 day in Rome, so time was precious. Very very frustrating,
We especially enjoyed Ray Secondino...very personable/talented. Also enjoyed Duo Farenheit and Duo
Cabin / Stateroom
Very comfortable.
Ship Quality
Beautiful,clean, love the music theme!
