Very bad service and food

The ship seemed disorganized. Where we couldn't get simple answers from the ship's entertainment people or Service desk.
Also many ports of call were to short to enjoy them\, they need to evaluate dropping a port and extending the others.
Lack of information on port of calls\, American cruise lines had a show prior to a port and gave information on where to go\, not informal meeting and find a English speaking host.
This cruise had Italians and French and both were extremely rude to only English speaking staff and passengers.

Food and Dining

Food was bad\, we send many dishes back to the kitchen for being bad\, cold or no taste. First time in all 9 of our cruises we did that. Mostly pasta and no real meat dishes. Views from the dining room were of the life boats and crew smoking. The dining room staff seemed short handed\, we had to wait in cases over a hour for our main course to arrive while the waiter rushed to service all 24 people assigned him. Assistant waiter was rushing to the kitchen for dishes and no real drink service. Buffet was of poor quality and staff seemed short handed for they were rushing to clear tables\, but couldn't fast enough. The buffet area was small and seating was near impossible after it was open a hour and by lunch\, no seating what so ever. With the poor quality of the Dining room\, the buffet was closed during this time and when it was open during the off hours till 9:00 PM\, it served Pizza and salad.

All activities in Italian/French\, nothing for English speaking people. The crew show was mostly crew members dancing to recorded music\, I liked it when the crew did there own show with their voices. The main shows were good\, mostly in English since the troupe was from England.

Service and Staff

The Service desk personal understanding of English was substandard\, we would have to rephrase all questions to simplest of English. All shipboard events lack signs and simple coordination\, times to open and close were arbitrary to the crew. Unlike American cruise ships\, no announcements of when to disembark or deck to disembark.

Ship Quality

You were not allowed to walk the outside deck for the crew used it as a smoking area. I never saw this on American cruise lines. Many ship's lights were out and it seemed to lack maintenance on many windows and doors. Light connectors on outside lights seemed to have rusted away and hang there\, but were painted over to hid them.

Cabin / Stateroom

The cleaning service didn't vacuum the room often and they relocated our personal stuff. TV had only BBC and a Arabic channel with English speaking channel out of 35 channels.
