Review summary

This cruise line needs some serious improvement in the customer relations department. My grandmother was left around in a wheelchair because the porter felt like leaving. The medical doctor started prescribing medications without ever taking any sort of medical history (apparently he has never heard of allergies or conflicting medications.) Getting your luggage upon disembarkation is a nightmare and completely unorganized. The excursion office is rude and inconsistent with trip scheduling notifications, so always check with them extra times to make sure they didn't cancel you. Many problems we incurred throughout the trip were happening to other Americans as well. I felt embarrassed to have brought my husband on this trip.

Wait staff was friendly. Food outside the main restaurants was terrible. Dinning times not great if you need to speak to your specific language host, as they are at the same time. Do not be even 5 minutes late or they get very angry with you. They did not take into consideration what language we speak and sat us in the German section where we couldn't read or speak anything.

Entertainment

Many activities were during excessive announcements, which made many of the day time activities frustrating to hear what was going on. Night shows were good however.

Service and Staff

This company has never heard of "going above & beyond". They could care less what you think and try to pass you off to someone else so they don't have to deal with problems. Good luck trying to contact any managers.

Nice large ship that was kept relatively clean. Nothing extra special but nothing was wrong.

Cabin / Stateroom

Room was not clean upon embarkation. Dirty glasses and sticky residue all over the room. Garbage / utensils were not picked up daily. Often times did not receive paper notices that others in our party were receiving.

Pros: night shows

Cons: medical team, excursion office, scheduling of programs, room cleanliness

Recommends Costa Magica? No.
