Great experience!

Sail Date: July 08, 2007

Reviewed: 6 years ago

Traveled As: Family w/older children

Room Type: Balcony

I highly recommend this unique experience.

Pros: Intersting ports of call that you can't get on a U.S. sailing and an opportunity to be a minority American in an unfamiliar European culture. It was great for the kids to be in an environment where English was a third or fourth priority.

Cons: Europeans do not queue, but just get over it and enjoy yourself! Food a little weord sometimes, but again, lighten up and do something different.

Recommends Costa Concordia (RETIRED)? Yes!

Valletta, Malta
lots to do for everyone.
Don't Miss: Carriage ride around the island and St. Paul's grotto (if you like christian history).
Savona (Genoa), Italy
See Girabaldi (sp?) Street.
Palermo, Sicily
just a big city really and very congested. A little disappointing I thought.
Barcelona, Spain
In some ways, just a big city, but really nice architecture and fun loving people.
Tunis, Tunisia
how often do you get ot visit Northen Africa? Really cool and shcklingly nice people. The street vendors are quite annoying, but just tell then no and they go away.
Don't Miss: Carthage ruins.
