Review summary

The ship being a 'smaller vessel' was still plenty large enough to get lost on every day, provide sailing comfort; yet you could always find a quiet corner or two to chill. It was clearly showing it's 1992 birth, but everything appeared in fine working order. All the brass was polished, floors continually vacuumed and wiped, and public bathrooms were very clean. Floor plan worked, but at times you would have to go downstairs, then upstairs to move through the ship. A slight inconvenience, but you learn it pretty quickly. If you're looking for the mall type concourse, choose another boat. No glitz and glamour, but a very functional, generally well laid out floor plan.

Food and Dining

Food was excellent, especially the breakfast buffets. At a European hotel, this spread would easily be $35.00. Plentiful lox, I saw sable, varieties of eggs and meats, and the fruits were always fresh and looked good. They just need to work on their Pizza. It was worse than frozen.

Entertainment

Bingo was often 'loud' and sometimes a bit 'roudy' with the hecklers that the entertainment staff almost promoted. I've seen better trivia and deck games on other boats, but it was okay. Stage shows were the very best. Professional dancers, singers, musicians and lighting. Every night was something to look forward to, and varied.

The most friendly, happy crew I've ever seen. When I asked one of those guys with 3 stripes on his sleeve where something was, he took the time to walk me to the correct station then told the chef what I wanted. Above and beyond.

Ship Quality

Mysterious elevators that didn't always go to the top floor. Spotlessly clean, everywhere.

Cabin / Stateroom

Usual layout, ample storage drawers and closets, temperature was always perfect even though the thermostat was non-functional. Some hall noise could be heard.

Ports of call

Hamilton, Bermuda

Third time in Hamilton, locals seemed a bit on edge. Maybe I was too used of the overly friendly ship people. Bus drivers especially didn't deal too well with stuffed buses and questions about where to get off. One in particulary made us walk the treacherous roads to get to the famous drawbridge, when in fact there was a bus stop just steps away serviced with a sidewalk. Unreal.

Don't Miss: Think the 'dockyards' are the best, no hussle or bussle but lots to do. The snorkeling looked excellent, lots of museums, food & shopping.

St. George's, Bermuda

Do your serious shopping in the larger Hamilton stores. St. George's is more of the local thing with plenty of gift shops and pubs. Nice setting with the cruise ships as a back drop.

Don't Miss: Gotta snorkel at Tobacco Bay. Safe for all ages, and only 2 minutes away.
