Review summary

Not all ports were landings, some were ‘drive-bys’ (Zodiac trips). We had a great time on this cruise. It is not like the big ships but given the size of the boat, the crew did a great job of making this a great trip. Lots of close animal encounters. This is a very casual cruise so don’t over pack. Lots of snorkeling and beach landings. Zodiacs are the only way on and off of the boat so you have to be physically able for this cruise. Several of the shore excursions are very rigorous and not for folks that are not in shape. Having said that, I am 76 and did all of the hikes.

Ship Quality

Layout/design are fine. As I understand, this ship is going to be refurbished soon and some aspects of the ship are definitely ready but overall it is still in relatively good condition and suitable for this venue.

How was the transfer process from your landing at Quito to the Marriott and the return to Quito airport at the trips end. What time did you arrive to Quito at the beginning of trip and when did your flight leave Quito for home? I am curious how this works as people are coming from all over at different times and I want to book my flights to ensure not having to wait a long time between arriving/departing Ecuador.
