Review summary

From the time we were met at the Quito airport until the time we departed Quito, Celebrity staff made this trip perfect.  Everything was right on time.  Service was warm and personal.  The trip was casual, yet elegant at the same time.  No need to dress up, but the dining room was lovely, staff were very attentive, the bar staff made all our drinks cheerfully and quickly.  The naturalists were with us on every shore excursions to explain all the magnificent birds, animals and plants, and always were looking out for our safety while we hiked or snorkeled.  The ship was immaculate and everything was well-organized and timely. I could not have asked for more and the whole trip exceeded our expectations in every way.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
Breakfasts and lunches were better than dinners. Meats tended to be overcooked. There were plenty of choices.

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
There were at least 3 activities a day to choose from for people wanting various activity levels. The day was very full.

Entertainment is limited on such a small ship, but the staff did a great job with singing and playing local music, leading Karaoke, and making the evenings fun.

Children's Programs

none were offered.

Cabin / Stateroom

We upgraded to the penthouse suite at the last minute. It was fabulous-huge and comfortable with 2 bathrooms and 2 balconies. We even had a small hot tub on our balcony. It was pure luxury.

Ship tip

Bring good walking shoes and socks for the hikes. Even though you are on the equator, long sleeve shirts and long pants are very useful for hiking and for your days in Quito before and after. Bring a hat with a chin strap that will not blow off when you are traveling back and forth on the Zodiacs.
