Harvey's Review by Las

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Celebrity Silhouette / Destination: Europe - Mediterranean

The itinery led to high expectations, but the weather plus great shows on board made the trip unsurpassable. Food was as  expected and the service also was of high quality. The daytime activities may need some add'l dynamics, but that is just nit-picking. As for the ship itself, the Silhouette was a "real beauty".

50th Anniversary Cruise by BOZ

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Celebrity Silhouette / Destination: Europe - Mediterranean

It was a very very good cruise. However, transportation to and from the ship on excursions could have been better. If you had any kind of handicap it was difficult to get from where they dropped you off and returning to the ship. I would sail with them again anytime and would recommend their cruise to everyone. I thought Crete was a waste of time. I would have rather spent the night in another port

Over the Top! by CruisinBaby

Celebrity treats you like a person and not like "cattle".  They truly make you feel that the trip is their maiden voyage even though they do this week in and week out.  The specialty restaurants are amazing.  My wife and I felt like royalty when eating in the speciality restaurants.

Great Cruise in the Mediterranean by Sarasmile

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: Celebrity Silhouette / Destination: Europe - Mediterranean

Vey pleased with our cruise in the Mediterranean. Silhouette is wonderful vessel with a superb Captain and Crew. Remarkable ease and timing to move 2800 people around for all activities. Service is excellent if not a bit over the top in some aspects. Plentiful and good food aboard and all one can want in terms of activities. The entertainment was first rate as well. Some room for improvement would include the following: 1) Add laundromats on this or future vessels as some cruise lines have. Would help a lot with cothes one has to bring aboard for a long cruise like ours. Landry service OkK but not inexpensive. 2) On port tours, provide more free time in port cities. Local restaurants are outstanding but not enough time to access unless one foregoes the tours. We did this in Split and would have done more in retrospect. 3) Move up requirement for leaving stateroom by 8 AM on disembarkation day to 9 AM.

Highly Enjoyable by laidback

Ship: Celebrity Silhouette / Destination: Europe - Mediterranean

We chose Celebrity because of the recommendation of Cheap Cruises and were not disappointed. The ship and crew were first rate, the ports chosen were great, and the length was just right. Food in the min dining room was so consistently good as to be a surprise. We did eat at one of the specialty restaurants; Murano and it was indeed a cut above. Food presentation was perfect, taste very good and service attentive without being intrusive. Ports of call were all interesting with one exception, Crete. Not much to see or do there. All others, very good. Two small complaints. The spa operates like a hard sell used car lot. Sorry, but the experience was so out of character, I had to mention it. Once our treatments were over let the selling begin. Seaweed baths (take home), future treatments, you name it. Made you feel like you had dropped down 3 or 4 cruise line levels. Same thing in the cafeteria dining area. We bought the unlimited, non-alcoholic upgrade (neither of us drink) because I couldn't see signing every time we wanted a coke light, or espresso. So in the cafeteria (lunch or breakfast) you had to order one at a time, and since waiter service was pretty scarce; go up to the bar every time you wanted something more. Food gets cold (remember the queues in this kind of restaurant) and I become unhappy. I think they achieved their goal; we ordered far less "non-alcoholic, specialty drinks" but I would never buy that option again. makes you feel like the line you've chosen is a cheap one. Those 2 issues only. And fortunately they were so far from the norm as to make me think the line hasn't yet caught up in those 2 departments. Overall, very enjoyable. Would recommend, and we will definitely go again.

Fun ports of call. Food best in main dining room. Murano restaurant on board not that good. Dress code not enforced well. Theatre shows mostly good. Good gym. Asking guest to not only pay for the manicure service Plus an additional $25 for the polish is ridiculous. Friendly staff.

Relax and Enjoy by DrDebraA

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: Celebrity Silhouette / Destination: Transatlantic

The Celebrity Silhouette is a beautiful luxury ship with much detail given to the design. It is very well maintained and clean with several unique spots to steal away for quiet time if relaxing is your goal. There were activities for everyone. You could choose to do as much or as little as you want. They even had an internet lab and you could take classes on using your apple products or purchase them on board. The entertainment was good. There were various performers and many activities were theme based. Another unique feature was on the last night of the cruise fellow cruisers were used in the final show. As large as the ship was, it was obvious that the staff's mission is to get to know people and be very personable. They were friendly and very accommodating.

excellent cruise by dstperez

from start to finish we enjoyed our cruise. Our cabin staff was excellent and always want to please. We enjoyed the varitities of food in both the oceanview and the curve. On the Curvee we had an exceptional waiter and assist waiter. Our table was number 130 on the first sitting. We we not happy with the type of selections for the on board celebrity intertainors although they were very talented. Also as regards the photos they were priced to high. I believe more photos would have been bought if they had been more reasonable in price.

Wonderful by SusanWagner

It was both relaxing and fun. There are so many activities scheduled all day long for the active person and so many places to just sit and relax for the inactive person. The food was very good and the variety was exceptional. I would recommend Celebrity to all my friends and I have already scheduled our next cruise on the Infinity. Looking forward to another wonderful cruise.

Fantastic food by brewmaster

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Celebrity Silhouette / Destination: Caribbean - Western

The food was 5 star. The ship was 5 star. Dining & room staff was 5 star. The Captain was a unbelievably hilarious, what a personality. The shows were out of this world. The only negatives we found were; tables around buffet areas were not bused very often. I often had to find a bar for a drink, more roving bar waiters would be nice. Debarkation, especially customs was horrible, porters were nowhere to be seen.

Nice Ship, Nice itinerary by IndyColts

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Celebrity Silhouette / Destination: Caribbean - Eastern

Being loyal Royal Caribbean cruisers, we decided to try something different. We did indeed enjoy ourselves. We were looking for some down time and having 3 days at sea allowed that. The ship was beautiful. The number or bars and assortment of types of bars was GREAT!!! Each had great things about them depending on what you were looking for, entertainment or showmanship. The food was good, not great. Our room was a good size and definitely appreciated the larger bathroom and shower! This cruise is definitely an older crowd, though there were kids on the cruise. The staff was great. All in all it was a good time.

They Treat You Like a Celebrity by dside

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Celebrity Silhouette / Destination: Caribbean - Eastern

The service was outstanding. The food was great and a wide selection. The ship is a newer ship and was in great shape. They kept the ship very clean. The ports of call were good we only had three on this trip and they were long enough. For San Juan we just wandered the fort and the old city. For St Martin we took a taxi to Oriental beach and then Margot, then airport Maho Beach. For St Thomas we took a taxi to Red Hook then Ferry to St John then taxi to Trunk Bay. Would recommend these shore trips. The ship was great. The staff treated us like royalty. The food was great. We ate most of our evening meals at the Cuvee which was a four course meal with high quality food. Entertainment on the ship was plentiful and were never without something to do. Would highly recommend this cruise and Celebrity Cruise lines.

Our first cruise!! We were treated like celebrities and will definitely cruise with Celebrity again. The rooms were clean, well decorated and just big enough for 3 people. The bathrooms were clean and had a lot of storage space as did the stateroom. The staff was wonderful. The food terrific.

Silhouette by edhelen

All was great-food, room, service, staff. The live music was very poor. We are ballroom dancers. There was no music to dance to between 8:00pm and1:00am. All one would hear is this loud and fast hardrock music and singing.I have never been on a cruise that was so poor in live dance music.I tried to connect with the cruise direc. but we couldn't.

Celebrity Cruise on the Silhouette by Spoiled

Sail date: / Traveled as: Large Group
Ship: Celebrity Silhouette / Destination: Caribbean - Eastern

The staff on the Silhouette was outstanding! They all worked very hard to make sure everything was to our liking, and all were very personable. Food and presentation was excellent and our waiter and his assistant could not have been better. Even the restroom attendants learned my name and always spoke. The Silhouette was super clean. I would highly recommend a Cruise on the Silhouette. We have already book another cruise on the Silhouette for 2014.

Great cruise, service just a tad less than we've had previously by CruiseGuy4928

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Celebrity Silhouette / Destination: Caribbean - Eastern

Great cruise, service just a tad less than we've had previously on Celebrity. The buffet was also a bit less spectacular, but the main dining room more than made up for it. Specialty restaurant (Qsine) was fun and interesting but kind of a mess once it gets busy - we had to wait about 40 minutes between courses at one point because the kitchen forgot about us. (They made up for it in freebies though.)

Wonderful Ship, Terrible Food by XDisappointed

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Celebrity Silhouette / Destination: Caribbean - Eastern

This ship is absoultely beautiful. Well maintained and the staff was wonderful. Boarding could not have been easier and finding our way around the ship was made simple by the helpful staff. We stayed in the Aqua class which offers a few perks, including eating at the restaurant Blu for no additional charge. Wow what a waste of money that was. The food as well as the service in Blu and in the main dining room was terrible. We tried Blu first and was so disappointed that we then tried the main dining which was even worse. The best thing I can say about the 24hr buffet is that they had salad, cause everything else up there was near inedible. Thank goodnes for the specialty restaurants, although they were near a hundred dollars for two, else we would of not had a decent meal the whole week. Qsine is a must, alot of fun and outstanding food. Murano and Tuscan Grille were also wonderful. Would not do this ship again and probably would not cruise Celebrity if the food on all the ships is this poor. On board activities were good. Did not do any shore excusrsions, spent that allotted money at the specialty restaurants. Disembarking was just as easy as embarking. They do a great job there. If you decide to do this cruise with Celebrity make sure you do it for everything but the food.

The best cruise line on the seven seas by weluvcelebrity

Sail date: / Traveled as: Large Group
Ship: Celebrity Silhouette / Destination: Caribbean - Western

From the moment we entered the port with a friend in a wheelchair to the time we disembarked with that friend, the Celebrity service was phenomenal. There was always some employee to help without being asked. We found the ship to be kept immaculately clean throughout our voyage. The food and the food service were beyond compare. We ate select dining and came to dinner when it was convenient for us. The range of activities onboard kept every person in our party of six busy throughout the week. There was something for everyone. The only problem was selecting which activity among several to participate in. Everyone had a wonderful time and four of us have plans for future cruises on Celebrity.
