Review summary

6 day cruise with 3 ports of call. Two sea days that usually are the most fun, but not on this voyage. The DJ played music with no personal interaction with the crowd. It might as well had been the radio.

Embarkation

This was probably the best thing about the voyage. It was quick, easy and smooth.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

3 out of 5
The food in the dining room was very average. The buffet food was not very good at all and sadly the selections never seemed to change from day to day. They pretty much served the same things day after day.

Onboard Activities

2 out of 5
This portion of the cruise was the MOST disappointing of all. There were few activities to begin with and a number of times, though the activity was listed on the itinerary, we were told it was canceled once you arrived to participate. I have cruised 114 sailings prior to this one, therefore I certainly can speak from experience when I say this was the FIRST TIME in my cruise history that there was no Karaoke offered AT ALL. Not one single night, not single time. This too appeared on the list, only to have the guest turned away when trying to attend. After I finally complained, they said it was because a private group of approximately 500 booked all the lounges on board for private meetings or parties and they had no other place to hold this activity or many others. What???? This was totally unfair to regular travelers who ( of course) were NOT told of this ahead of time. The cruise director was basically absent from sight and sound for 75 percent of the cruise. He was not the type that got the crowd aroused or pumped up for activities at all. Maybe that’s because the few activities they did have were so poor.

Ship Quality

She’s getting old and needs dry dock very soon. Even the menu covers in the dining room are old and torn.

Cabin / Stateroom

4 out of 5
The cabin was fine and kept nicely clean.

Ship tip

Do NOT expect to have an exciting voyage with a lively DJ and cruise entertainment staff. Honestly, (and I told them so while still onboard). Of 114 previous cruises, this one was the most BORING that I’ve ever experienced. Not throwing shade, just stating the facts.

Ports of call

Ft. Lauderdale (Port Everglades), Florida

Bimini, Bahamas

This is a very boring stop. There is nothing much there to see. If you’re a beach person, I heard that one of the paid excursions to a resort beach was ok. Otherwise, there is no need to get off the ship.

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
Easy and smooth
