Review summary
I would like to have had more activity options during the day. I also was not impressed with the food situation. The dining room dinners were excellent, but the buffet was just ok. The mast grill was lacking. It was my understanding that on a cruise you could get all kinds of food pretty much any time of day but that wasn't the case. Very limited options mid day and after 9pm. However, the staff was excellent! The entertainment was great. The ship was very clean. I had an inside cabin next to the library and it was very quiet. There were very few children on board. I believe they said 200 total. Overall I will cruise again but I will try a different cruise line to see if I can get activities that meet my interests.

Ship tip
We arrived at the pier early, about 10:45. The embarkation was very smooth. No wait.

My last RCI cruise the food was not great in the MDR. I have found that lately Carnival has better MDR food then RCI. Celebrity has the best cruise line MDR food I have had with HAL coming in second IMHO.
To the OP welcome to cruising. Most cruise lines have limited food during non meal time. NCL does have a 24 hour coffee shop kind of diner, Carnival has 24 hour pizza and deli, all lines have 24 hour room service for a fee.
