Celebrity Flora

7 Night Galapagos - Inner Loop (Baltra Roundtrip)

Sail date: January 09, 2022

Ship: Celebrity Flora

Cabin number: 517

Traveled as: Couple

Review summary

We have been on 2 CelebrityX cruises in the Galapagos. Flora is a great ship. For sure, get a balcony cabin. As far as Inner Loop vs. Outer Loop, that is a tough question. Each has some outstanding stops, and each has some less outstanding stops, with fewer animals. I’d like to do a 14 day cruise on Flora and do BOTH. For me, the snorkeling excursions were the highlights.

Embarkation

4 out of 5
We bought “cruise-only”. Met at the Baltra airport, got a COVID test and then waited for all the others from the charter flight. Too bad we couldn’t go to the ship.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
ALL drinks are included. There were as many as 7 entree choices each night. For an Excursion ship with only 65 passengers, this was remarkable. Food was great too. Even room service food was on-time and tasty.

Onboard Activities

3 out of 5
On this itinerary, the activities are almost all “on shore”. Do not expect different.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Staff and nature guides were top-notch.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
Ship was beautiful. Well designed and perfect for Galapagos.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
For an Expedition ship, this cabin was great. Nice balcony and a bed facing the water. Plenty of room for storage and very quiet.

Ship tip

Take all the snorkeling excursions.

Ports of call

Baltra, Galapagos

3 out of 5
Not really a port of call. The airport is the only thing on this island.

Rabida, Galapagos

4 out of 5
Walk was rather mundane but snorkeling was exciting with manta rays and sea lions.

Elizabeth Bay, Galapagos

5 out of 5
Maybe the best excursion of the trip. All zodiac ride in the Bay.

Caleta Tagus, Isabela, Galapagos

4 out of 5
Beautiful views. Not many animals.

Sullivan Bay, Santiago, Galapagos

Kicker rock

Punta Pitt, San Cristobal, Galapagos

Nesting location. All 3 boobies on one island.

Well organized and not ridiculously early.
