Review summary

We gambled, we ate, we were entertained… wonderful!

Embarkation

The facility was virtually empty when we arrived at around 1:00 PM. My only complaint was the attendant didn’t tell us what direction to go to get onboard and we, of course, went the wrong way and had to ask someone.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
Day 1 food was gross and the burger joint was mediocre at best, but all of the dining experiences were great. I love having several different restaurants to choose from, rather than the typical main dining room. It really added a nice touch. And I LOVED LOVED having lobster night! The other cruise lines seem to have stopped that.

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5
Honestly, we didn’t participate in many activities. We did watch a few and next time I may participate. It seemed like they offered a lot.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
We missed one show, but the two that we saw were AMAZING! The performers/musicians/DJs were top notch, in the shows as well as the bars and other venues.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
The room attendant was quite stealthy. Never saw him, yet the room was always clean and well maintained. There was a hurricane back home so I went to guest services to see if I could get a pro-rated internet package to check in on my family. They wanted to charge me full price so I walked away (politely- there was no drama here). Before I got to the elevators, the attendant ran up to me and said that I could have three free calls home from my cabin and explained how to go about that. That was stellar service and much appreciated.

Ship Quality

Love this ship. I absolutely adore the infinite veranda. My only complaint about it, if I had to complain, is that there is no way to sit on the veranda and leave the room dark so as to not wake up my wife. I’m still kind of weighing the importance of this…

Ship tip

I don’t think this ship is for children, though they do have some kind of children’s play area. I think it’s more of an adult centric ship (which suits us just fine!).

Ports of call

Cozumel, Mexico

It was the most beautiful snorkeling excursion we have had in a long time. The crew on the catamaran were quite fun (and safe!). The beach break was also fun, if a little short. I gave this a four instead of five because we had an incident of sexual harassment at Margaritaville which really put a damper on the day (to say the least!).

I have heard that same comment regarding the infinite balcony before. I wonder if the bed position would make a difference. Thanks for taking the time to write the review.
