Review summary

If sailing on a 5 star resort is your desire then this is your ship. Elegance and simplicity blend for an outstanding adult experience. A first time cruiser won’t notice the difference but others will.

Embarkation

5 out of 5
Facial recognition cuts the time from curb to ship to just minutes. The new terminal in Ft Lauderdale is beautiful.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
While the food and drink is outstanding the upgrades (speciality dining) are very expensive. Avg $70 per person for steakhouse or new Eden dining room. I did not fall for it. Also, my only complaint (and I’ve seen it in other’s reviews) the cooks cannot cook a steak. Ask for medium rare and it will be RED in the center not pink. Three times on three separate meals this is what I and my dinner mates received.

Onboard Activities

3 out of 5
This ship is simple elegance. It’s geared toward adults. No children’s activities in common area. If relaxation is your goal then this is your ship. The fitness center is well equipped but you will pay extra for a steam room as it’s located in the Spa area.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
The ships entertainers are young and very talented. Some perform the standard onboard revues while others play strange characters in Eden. Eden is like a parallel garden planet inhabited by child like people with extraordinary talents of singing, dance and acrobatics. Immersive and interactive.

Children's Programs

We were a full ship charter cruise adults only. Atlantis Events March 17-23, 2019

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Celebrity invited experienced outstanding staff from its other ships to launch this incredible Flag Ship for their new fleet. They are the cream of the crop in providing outstanding service. From room stewards to bartenders.. the best

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
It’s brand new and you see staff members scrubbing and polishing everything daily.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
This cabin was beautiful. I choose inside cabins for their economy and I don’t spend any time in it other than to sleep. I expect small and cramped. Not on the Edge! The room was spacious with a sofa! Plenty of storage in drawers, hanging and under the bed for even a 29” suitcase. The bathroom was very large with a corner glass enclosed shower and the toilet situated where you don’t need to have your knees under your chin. Plenty of shelves and drawers for your accessories.

Ship tip

Not sure I would recommend this ship for young families but for young adults on up its a dream. Would be an outstanding Honeymoon experience for Newlyweds or those celebrating an anniversary.

Disembarkation

Again the facial recognition made exiting the ship fast and painless. The luggage retrieval area was sorted in small groups making it easy to spot your luggage. Plenty of porters with carts available if you desired help.
