This was very efficient, gave me high hopes for the cruise
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
2 out of 5
4 MDR concept was very good; food was good; pizza in buffet was too far away from other food. Zumba-style music in Martini Bar was a real turn-off. Even the Christmas music had a BOOM BOOM BOOM beat; no bar where you could just sit and have a conversation
Onboard Activities
1 out of 5
I would give this a zero star rating if I could. They want you to be on your cell phone or tablet all the time instead of interacting with others. Trivia was a joke. Knitting? Taught by someone who doesn't know what he's doing?
Entertainment
1 out of 5
Eden was awful -- silly, pointless. Music playing throughout the ship was horrible.
Children's Programs
no kids
Service and Staff
4 out of 5
They tried so hard, but couldn't overcome the ship's deficiencies; long lines at Guest Relations really told you something
Ship Quality
2 out of 5
Everything was gray, even the Christmas decorations; no sky lounge; no library, not even a shelf where we could leave books for others; no card room; uncomfortable chairs;
Cabin / Stateroom
3 out of 5
Some things were very good -- USB ports, electrical outlet in bathroom, comfortable bed. But the closet was small; the balcony was tiny; the tv didn't swivel so you couldn't see it from the (hard as rocks) couch; no coffee table so room service for two was difficult -- no place to put a tray;
Ship tip
don't sail unless you like to be bombarded with a Zumba beat all day long
Was there a charge for the knitting? Did they supply or was it something you bring your own? Other half now trying to figure out if going to bring some knitting projects.
Anthem of the Seas was another ship that was considered non-traditional when it came out it. It too had a rocky start but we love it - it is very relaxing. I bet Edge wi be the same way - modern, clean, relaxing and interesting. Can't wait.
I'm sure this is a fake review. No cruises listed on profile and no reies to your questions. Celebrity is a great cruiseline and I'm sure the ship is great also. Have fun!
Sorry you had a bad cruise. We are going in the spring and are excited. Yes, it will be a non-traditional cruise experience but we are ready. We can't help but giggle and roll our eyes when we see "sitar player" as one of the entertainers listed. We have low expectations for this vacation so I think we will be fine. I hope.
