Review summary

This was our second cruise to Bermuda. The first was more exciting for us because it was new- it was also on a different cruise line (same parent company). Not sure why, but expected more from what I thought was a 'step-up' cruise line. However, as this was our 2nd cruise to Bermuda, we will look for other areas to cruise to before going back.

Embarkation

3 out of 5
Computer system was down; waited in line for 2 1/2 hours outside of cruise terminal to get inside cruise terminal. Once inside, all went smoothly.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
Buffet- good; main dining room- slow but satisfactory; Le Petit Chef- fantastic!

Onboard Activities

3 out of 5
Used the fitness center- very nice equipment;

Entertainment

3 out of 5
Attended evening (9:00) shows almost every night; attended multiple evening shows in the Eclipse theater- enjoyable

Children's Programs

No children to entertain, no need.

Service and Staff

4 out of 5

Ship Quality

3 out of 5
Clean and well-maintained common areas

Cabin / Stateroom

3 out of 5
Balcony room similar to other balcony rooms on other cruise lines. Toilet blocked (unusable) on two separate occasions; water dripping onto outside balcony from somewhere above- no staff seemed concerned enough about the issue to do anything about it or to get back to us with any response as to what was happening; otherwise, the cabin was fine.

Ship tip

If younger, enjoy; if older, bring reading materials

Ports of call

Cape Liberty (Bayonne), New Jersey Did not visit port

Only got on and off the ship here. As it is located in an industrial port, there really is nothing to do or see.

Cruise Statue Of Liberty

4 out of 5
Ship cruised by statue- no port, no excursions. Skyline-view of NYC was admirable.

Royal Naval Dockyard, West End, Bermuda

4 out of 5
Did two excursions- one booked through cruise line to a very popular beach for about 3 hours; second excursion through 'Cheap Cruises' on a sunset Catamaran cruise- much nicer. This port is a nice port- clean and easy to walk around.

Disembarkation

4 out of 5
When a second line was opened for those carrying their luggage, all went smoothly. Initial line was extremely long winding from the front of the ship to the rear., so second line was a nice surprise.
