Great staff. Don’t expect an upscale cruise. Probably the last time (3 total cruises on Celebrity) for us on Celebrity.
Embarkation

Very prompt and efficient. Was on and in our cabin within thirty minutes.

Food and Dining
3 out of 5
Maybe it’s because we have cruised enough that the awe and excitement has worn off. Or, maybe it’s due to post pandemic cut backs. Nonetheless, the food (main course in main dining) was average at best. Like something you might get at a “meat and three” in a local restaurant. Even the presentation was lame-just plain. The appetizers and soups were excellent however. The Oceanview restaurant was as good or better than the main dining and I’m not a big buffet fan. So, in all fairness, the food needs much improvement for a so called “premium” cruise line as Celebrity claims to be.
Service was okay. Dear ole wait staff really hustled. Could it have been a bit quicker and more efficient-yea but because of their efforts and attitude they get a 5 star for service.
Oh, one other food comment. Was going to try a specialty restaurant but charge for two people was like $119.00 - no thank you. Just a thought, but maybe Celebrity has reduced the quality in main dining in an effort to push passengers to the super expensive speciality venues. After all, that is where the money is.
Onboard Activities
3 out of 5
Not much to say here as we did not participate in any. Although, we were just on the Celebrity Solstice less than 60 days ago and the activities on it seem much more spirited with many participants. Not so on Eclipse.
Entertainment
5 out of 5
Giving it a 5 Star because the entertainment brought in was just that-excellent. Did not attend the nights the Celebrity Singers and Dancers performed, so unfair to rate them but from past experiences not impressed.

Ship Quality
3 out of 5
Most common areas - halls, shops, restrooms, etc., were decent. Oceanview was pretty dirty most days. Hate to sound critical because the crew works hard to clean but still it was pretty dirty.
The ship is old and tired. As an example, I had a couple of reasons to go to Guests Relations (not negative reasons) and the windows behind the desk were filthy-green from mildew buildup, rust decaying the metal and just plain gross. Didn’t notice a lot of effort in cleaning the external areas of the ship. Again, the ship is ready for the dry dock or bone yard. Not a “premium” quality ship.
As I mentioned earlier-we were just on the Solstice (same class ship and about the same age) and it seemed much better, so like to think I’m comparing an apple to an apple.
Cabin / Stateroom
4 out of 5
Clean, and enough room, plenty of storage for 7 day. A bit out dated.
Ship tip
Don’t expect it to be worth the price difference in say an MSC ship. It’s average at best.
Sort of limited on activities and a bit out of the way. Too much time getting to main attractions. We either took ferry (30 minute boat ride) or bus which was about the same time. Otherwise okay.
