I just saw that my ratings gave this experience 4.4 out of 5 stars. If I could give it more stars I would....It was just my experience in Cabo that dropped the rating. The ship is EMACULATE. The food is Michelin rated....(in my opinion....maybe it really is)... Everything about the ship and staff is more than 5 stars!
Embarkation
5 out of 5
Went an hour earlier than scheduled...getting on was a breeze!
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
5 out of 5
Not sure how many pounds I gained...but would still be eating the food if I could! Sooooo much flavor with soooooo many choices!
Onboard Activities
5 out of 5
Took many dance classes...hope I can remember them! Trivia sounds boring to some who may have not experienced...BUT it is so fun, so much interaction...and you learn something new!
Entertainment
5 out of 5
DJ's were fun...Show's were outstanding and incredibly professional! Listened to individual singers, musicians (cello and violin duo) who played exceptionally well.....you would think you were at a music hall for Mozart and Bach!
Service and Staff
5 out of 5
Our room steward ALWAYS had a smile on his face....Please tip them even more if you are able because they work so hard! We had service 2x a day... We were in concierge class so treats were delivered daily. All the staff at the different dining halls were very helpful and always seemed sincere when assisting you. The staff were fun and seemed very personable.
Ship Quality
5 out of 5
Impeccable....luxurious, CLEAN... you felt like the whole ship was designed just for you!
Cabin / Stateroom
5 out of 5
Beautiful cabin with balcony. Lovely bathroom...felt kind of like a spa with the wood elements. However, I was expecting the bed to be over-the top comfortable (by the description). It was not. It was too hard...especially when my expectations were much more. For concierge class I would not give the description they give because you are rightly expecting uber comfort. I was still able to sleep...it's just my hips ached. The tv was a nice size...but did not really enjoy the content they offered even with being able to have movies on demand (my personal opinion). This was my 4th cruise (in a year) and told myself I was going to force myself to not be involved in so many activities (because the time goes by too fast) and that I would come back to the room and enjoy some television while being in the room...as opposed to staying up all night dancing (and drinking) and then just fall asleep when I got in the room. I tried to do what I intended it's just there was nothing I enjoyed on the tv. Keep that in mind, folks, your cruise goes by sooooo fast!
Ship tip
Where comfortable shoes. I see women in high-heels and think, "I'm so glad I'm not her". Learn your ship before you go....so you don't waist time trying to figure out where your dining facilities are.
HUMID even at the end of November. It was too hot for me and only seemed like a party town. The only reason I got off the boat was because I had never been here. I did get a hotel for the overnight stay. Loved the hotel...we did walk around to see what it had to offer. Research before you go.
It was easy getting off the boat in San Pedro...we did the immigration info in San Diego (whether you wanted to get off the boat or not...you still have to to complete immigration...but took maybe 10 minutes)
Sorry you made a mistake on booking Cabo in the hotter season, San Diego it is not. Sounds like you had at least a two or three star good time there but you marked it a one for your hot season mistake?
