Review summary

The ship itself is very clean and in great condition. The food was quite good for the most part and the staff friendly. The ports for our particular itinerary were dissappointing and the beds uncomfortable.

We were very disappointed in the entertainment. During the first show the trumpet player actually used his nose to play two horns at once. YUCK! Perhaps we should have given them another a chance and tried other shows but that turned us off. There was a nice string trio that played throughout the ship.

The ship is very clean and well maintained but not as elegant or impressive as other ships I have sailed on.

Cabin / Stateroom

Condition and cleanliness rate at excellent as does the very spacious bathroom. However, storage space is very limited and the beds were very uncomfortable. We had three people in the cabin so the couch was made up into the third bed by placing a thin pad on top of it. Very hard and uncomforatable!

We were in port 2pm - 11 pm so there wasn't time to travel to the really nice beaches. Shopping was not worth while.

Traffic is an issue as we were warned by locals that it could take up to 2 hours to get back from the beach at rush hour. We went to Dawn beach instead which was small, crowded and expensive.

The views driving to the beach were beautiful but the beach was not very nice and the local vendors very aggressive.

Pros: The ship is very clean and well maintained, cabin stewards are great.

Cons: The beds were very uncomfortable and there was a lot of noise at night.

Recommends Celebrity Eclipse? Yes!
