Review summary

Spacious with good seating areas. cabins were satisfactory. No large foyer or atrium area made us feel somewhat closed in. Pools were good.

The food was extremely disappointing for us. Some nights we felt like our main course can from a fast food outlet. Steak was poor quality and thin, about 1/2 inch thick. Some nights no seafood on menu, other nights sole appeared and sometimes pasta with shrimp ( 3 shrimps). Desserts were cake ( 2 types) a warm pudding like custard or fruit and ice cream or sorbet.We believe cakes are for morning and afternoon tea. We never had a hot dessert on an 11 day cruise. The buffet area has very little variation in the food from day to day with the exception of the hot meats.A small asian kitchen was a pleasant surprise with about 8 dishes each lunchtime. One evening we went to dinner in the buffet and found the only hot option was a stirfry using beef or chicken. The dinner buffet is one third the size of the lunch buffet. On a table of 6 no one was happy with the food with the exception of the last formal night.Specialised coffees eg capuccino and beverages were very expensive.Coffee is lousy.

We tried to vary the menu by changing rice to vegetables and soon understood no flexibility existed. Our wine steward was open and friendly our waiter surly with a real attitude! Cabin staff , our assistant cabin attendant was more friendly and welcoming than the main cabin steward. Witnessed staff being discilpined in front of guests outside the main buffet in the presence of other staff and guests. Staff spoke in their own language in front of guests.Never received final account or comment sheet at end of cruise.
