Review summary

This was our first cruise on Celebrity and will not be our last. I think we are in love with Celebrity and what they have to offer….beautiful ships, HUGE elevators and less children…as well as delicious food and great entertainment.

Embarkation

5 out of 5
This was the easiest embarkation in 13 cruises since 2005! Park at the Ports was amazing and helped to make is less stressful. We walked right onto ship after verifying documents etc. We were greeted on Deck 5 by the Art Gallery with smiles and cool towels. We headed right over to muster and then decided to have lunch at Raw on 5 instead of the buffet. Treat yourself it makes embarking so easy!

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
All food venues included and pay were amazing! We ate at Raw on 5 for lunch after embarking. Michelle was our waitress and she was amazing. Every time my husband dropped his linen napkin(at least 3 times) she was right there with a clean one. The food was delicious and so fresh. Dinner that night was at Tuscan and we were not disappointed. It was delicious not like cruise food at all. The decor was just beautiful and staff was amazing. We loved Le Petite Chef and food as well as staff were awesome. The buffet became our go to since we wanted to graze and able to catch the early shows. The food and selection in the Oceanview Cafe was incredible and like not her cruise we have been on previously. The staff is always clearing away dirty plates and wiping.

Entertainment

Shows were awesome! Singers and dancers were just incredible! You need to get there early for good seats. Hubby needs accessible seating and they have some on each floor of the theatre. We were disappointed that the shows in Eden were so late(10:30) but they did have live music to enjoy. Music in the center of the ship was beautiful also. Lively was played on the Lido deck on Sea days.

Service and Staff

Our room steward was great as well room service! Always smiling and wanting to help. Waiters everywhere were the bomb. No huge waits for drinks anywhere.

Ship Quality

This ship is absolutely beautiful! The artwork and decor is just breathtaking. We fell in love within the first few minutes of embarking! It was clean and so well maintained. Eden is so peaceful and relaxing. There are so many places to sit, relax and read on this ship. The rooftop area is amazing! You do not feel like you are on a ship! Pickle all court on a ship? It was surprising. There is a large screen up there also. Plunge pools up there were great as well as the walking track that spans two decks. Bathroom have automatic doors and loved for hubby in power chair. They were spotless and always being cleaned. Ladies rooms were actually pretty in decor. There are lots of them everywhere which is great for these old cruisers..lol We love this ship! Forgot to comment on the elevators…they are huge! They are fast and easy to catch a lift. The outside change colors…green was Up and red was Dowwn. They are great!

Cabin / Stateroom

Loved this cabin! It is an accessible Deluxe Oceanview located at the very front of the ship(rectangular windows). It was absolutely HUGE!!!!! I walked out the measuring and got 13’ wide and 36’ long. Some space was taken by the angled space at the front window space. It was a great place to have coffee and look out to see where the ship was going. Blinds/curtain had to be shut at dark..orders from the bridge. It was so new it had the new car smell..lol So much space to hang clothing and drawers for folded items. Plenty of space in the bathroom for toiletries on shelves. Sink is huge with hand lotion and bar of soap. We also had tons of towels! Shower is roll in and big. Toilet had bars for safety. There was a couch in room and chair at desk. We used that chair at the front window for seating up there. There is automatic door opener at cabin door also. We missed a balcony but this cabin was beautiful and we would stay in it again!

Disembarkation

The easiest ever! We had to be out of cabin by 7:30 am. We gathered our carry off hand bags and found a place to wait for our #11 to be called. Walk off passengers gathered in Eden at 7:30 and they were taken off via a different door. We were called before 7:45. Out the door we went to claim our luggage with a porter. He took us through customs etc. he knew exactly where our shuttle would get us. (Park by the Ports) is amazing! Next sailing I think we will get larger tag number and enjoy breakfast in Cosmopolitan as we will be with friends on a group cruise.
