Review summary

At the time this cruise back in November 2023, this was my 16th solo cruise but my 1st celebrity cruise. I instantly fell in love with the ship and brand. I am a huge Royal Caribbean fan, but I have noticed that there are turning more into the family catered side of business. At least at the time of this cruise (the second sailing ever) that was not the case on celebrity. It really felt like the adults style cruise that I expected and wanted from virgin voyages, without all the extra try hard nonsense that virgin does. The food, the ship and OMG THE ENTERTAINMENT was all top of it's class. Even thought this was not an adults only cruise, it felt like it. I saw maybe like 5 kids on the entire ship. I didn't see ANY after dinner. There is a lot more I can say about this cruise so I just recommend finding me on Youtube and searching celebrity ascent MrBucketlist Solo Cruise Documentary. Even though this was a 3 night cruise, this is one of the best ships and cruises I've ever been on. -MrBucketlist

Embarkation

5 out of 5
Easy. They had plenty of space for everyone to sit down. We waited for about 10 minutes and boarded. No crowds or lines.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
This ship had some of the best food I've had on a cruise ship. I love the variety offered at the 4 MDRs onboard.

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
Great. This was a short 3 day cruise but they had plenty of going on.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
Hands down some of the best shows, parties, atmosphere on a cruise ship. I love how to crew interacted with people in the audience. I've been on 20 cruises and I've never seen anything like it before.

Children's Programs

I have NO KIDS. THANK THE LORD!!!!!

Service and Staff

Fantastic

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
One of the classiest ships I've ever been on, that is even compared to my inaugural sailing on Icon of the Seas.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
This was a solo infinite veranda room. Even thought celebrity seems to have some negative feelings towards solos (with the whole news of possibly charging them 300% of the fare) this room was perfect for a solo.

Ports of call

Ft. Lauderdale (Port Everglades), Florida

5 out of 5
One of the easiest ports to park and navigate in. Anything is better than the port of Miami.

Nassau, Bahamas

5 out of 5
The did a good job with the updates to the port.

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
Simple

It’s an amazing ship right? I was blown away by everything as well. I did a NYE cruise and there were a lot of kids, which I was surprised about. I kinda felt sorry for them because there is not the usual fun stuff. One teen had a football that he tried to throw across the pool a few times and that was shut down pretty quickly. The kids didn’t bother me at all but I can see for some people it really would.

Glad you enjoyed your cruise. We were loyal Royal Caribbean fans, as of late, we’ve moved onto Celebrity since there are less children on board.
