Carnival Vista

6 Night Eastern Caribbean (Port Canaveral Roundtrip)

Sail date: October 13, 2024

Ship: Carnival Vista

Traveled as: Couple

Reviewed: 13 days ago

Review summary

We really enjoyed every aspect of the cruise. The steel drum performer, Delano, the Vista Rock Band and the guitar soloist, Leo Furlan were our favorite entertainers on the ship. Every night we would look to see where each was performing and listen to them. They were OUTSTANDING!

Embarkation

1 out of 5
We were 2 hours delayed for our embarkation process because the sailing before us was delayed getting back in to Port due to mechanical issues. The night we got on the ship, we didn't end up actually sailing out to sea until sometime in the middle of the night. We stayed in Port Canaveral so the crews could work on the ship repairs. Despite our delay leaving the port, we still were able to visit all of our ports of call on our itinerary.

Art Gallery

This should be converted into a soul play arts and crafts place like it is on the carnival pride. Does anyone actually even purchase those art pieces while they are sailing anyway? I have never seen anyone buy art on the ship. However, the soul play arts and crafts place was AMAZING on the pride. I went every day and made several art pieces to bring home.

Our room steward Sherwin and his assistant Gennifer were FANTASTIC! Our dining room team was the BEST!

Our cabin was great! The room steward Sherwin and his assistant Gennifer were FANTASTIC!!!! We had a deluxe ocean view cabin. I really liked having the second bathroom (no toilet, but it had a sink and tub) to get ready for dinner in the evenings

@tropics009: when you are on a B2B, Carnival will have you all gather in one of the dining rooms while everyone else disembarks. They will serve you coffee and Danish. They will come around the room and issue you new sign and sail cards. Once everyone disembarks, Carnival will walk all of the B2B passengers off, you will walk through customs, then immediately get back on board. Easy peasy. As far as the game shows, I don't know of any, but my husband and I did not go to any shows. They DO always have the love & marriage show during the cruise, though. Have a great time!!!! 😉

Hello Serena. Thank you for your review. We are doing B2B end of month on Vista and have connected our reservation and are booked same room each week. For second week did you have to reboard ? Just curious how they handle the second week for check in. One other item did they have Family Feud or Deal or No Deal Thank you in advance
