Review summary
Near the expected time of departure an announcement was made that one propeller on the ship was not working and we would not travel to our destinations. Instead of islands off the coast of south America we went to the Bahamas, just a swim away from south Florida. Carnival announced that we could disembark and get a future cruise credit or stay on board and get a $400 credit on the room. Disembarking was impractical and the on board credit is not nearly the cost difference between cruising the Bahamas versus Aruba. What Carnival should have done was warn travelers of the potential change in plans before they ever left their home cities to come to the port. Carnival knew the ship couldn't sail and said nothing.Embarkation
