Review summary
An amazing cruise with awesome crew, entertainment and ports, only held back slightly by the ship’s design and layout. Venues are all still there but out of place. Not enough to ruin the cruise but enough for me to never go on the vista again.Embarkation
Post Covid embarkation is always a breeze, especially out of Galveston.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
Awesome food as always, certain nights the MDR was exceptionally good. Even the buffet food was fresher than previous experiences with other ships.
Onboard Activities
Savannah and her fun squad did great, especially El who hosted the comedy club.
Entertainment
The comedians were great and had a good range of sets.
Service and Staff
Good as always, room steward was exceptional and the crew seemed a lot more at ease coming out of the omicron spike.
Ship Quality
I would rate this section a 2 because of the layout if I graded harsher. The layout is incredibly unintuitive and unpractical. Replacing the atrium with the dream scape was not fully thought through. It makes most of the ship seem cramped and hard to navigate. The placement of the venues suffer because of this. Not horrible but definitely not good.
Disembarkation
Galveston, always easy.
