Awesome to be back on a Carnival ship! Clean, beautiful ship. Staff was amazing as always.
Embarkation
5 out of 5
This was our first time cruising without FTTF ( faster to the fun), understanding all of the new COVID procedures we were prepared for the long lines and hectic embarkation, but was really surprised and very impressed with the entire procedure. Fellow shipmates, to those who have since the return traveled I’m not sure of your experiences. For anyone who is planning or have an upcoming cruise out of Galveston... FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS and you will have a near seamless experience! Arrived at the port for YOUR CHECK IN TIME and don’t arrive an hour or two and hop in line ahead of all those who have a scheduled time ahead of you, this is where all the problems start. They will remove you and put you in the proper line, then have all necessary paper work ready for them, was super fast in my opinion and watching everyone trying to check in at 10:30 with a 11:30 boarding pass be turned around, I’m sure there will be so many complaints about waiting in long lines or people being rude. Arrive at your time and have ALL DOCUMENTS listed you’ll be fine.

Service and Staff
5 out of 5
The staff wore mask the entire time throughout the cruise in the exact same heat as us and NOT ONE time did I see a staff member without a mask. They wore buttons with their pictures and names, so you could see their faces. *** If you are going to cruise wear a mask, it’s required of everyone on the ship and if the staff can do it the entire time in view of us, we owe the exact same respect.
Ship Quality

First time on Vista, really did like the layout, this ship was SUPER CLEAN! You have staff positioned at stairs prepared to wipe hand rails and elevator buttons around the clock, restroom, dining areas and all outside decks super clean and ready each day.
Cabin / Stateroom

First time staying on lido, was concerned about noise from lido deck. Cabin was very nice and was very clean.
Ship tip
Wear your mask in public areas be safe, enjoy yourself, the new muster process IS AWESOME!
Your muster station or zone (example: B4) will be called the morning of disembarkation, you go to forward elevators and get off ship IF! You do not check your luggage the night before simple right?
Just like embarkation, EVERYONE wanting off FIRST, showing up when it is not their turn yelling “me first,me first.”
If everyone follows instructions it will go smooth.
Which terminal did you have to go to for embarkation? We have always been at terminal 1. Just wondering so we know where to go to drop off our luggage before we park the car and shuttle back. Thank you for your review! Glad you had a good time.
