This was my first cruise on carnival, second on a cruise in general, and I must say it is better than my previous. My friends and I enjoyed it so much and we would do it again.

Dining was excellent however, I noticed particularly with our meals that had fish, 8/10 the fish was over cooked and dry. These dishes were at the Horizon's restaurant during dinner. Thursday however, we ate at Ji Ji Asian Kitchen and it was spectacular. All dishes were flavorful. The only reserves we had was the creme rose brûlée which was very runny. Other than that, all dishes were delicious.
Onboard Activities

The first few days my group of friends and I tried the activities and games provided such as "walk the plank" and "fact or fiction" games. They were really fun. However, the last few days offered barely anything and we were quite disappointed with the activities that were scheduled on Thursday when we were supposed to go to Cozumel, but it was cancelled due to the storm. Majority of our time was spent at the casino which was VERY fun. The dealers made us feel welcomed, were very friendly, and definitely made a good impression since we like to gamble. Manager Nikola and Joar. Also, we were disspointed that there was not a huge pool where can really swim and do activities like marco/polo, volleyball, and etc. There were only small lounge pools that did not provide well with social distancing.

There were a few shows we attended and dancing events which were very nice. The most fun watching was the Latin musical that I forgot the title for. The 70's/80's dance on the patio was really fun.
Service and Staff

WE LOVED ALL STAFF. Michele, our room service/housekeeper, was so sweet, and we were impressed by how she was able to remember all of our names. All servers at the Horizon's (Widi?) and Ji Ji Asian Restaurant were very nice. My girlfriend and I celebrated our 5 years on the cruise so I asked the staff to do something especial, and they did just that. Servers came and sung a happy anniversary song and offered a small cute cake. They made it very special for us. The one's that made the biggest impression were at the casino tables. These are the people that really made the highlight of our experience and stay enjoyable. Please give a raise, bonus, appraise to dealers: Javier, Zami, Calvin, Majoj, Buhle, Patrick, Lary, (Papa) John, and Mari. You know they made the best impression when you remember all their names! The floor managers who gave a really good impression were Nikola and Joar. We had pleasant and fun conversation with everyone of these people listed at the casino. There was never a dull moment other than us losing our money but hey, thats gambling for you!

Everything was clean. The staff does a great job of cleaning after people's messes.
Cabin / Stateroom

The size and layout is definitely better than a small one of the other side with no windows. We were surprised how the couch was able to accommodate another person. Although, we wished there were more hangers and a iron board.
Ship tip
Bring games or a lot of money just in case you dont get too bored.
Getting of the ship was surprisingly very fast. However, we were disappointed we did not get to go to Cozumel, Mexico. We honestly thought we were going to get another sea say and stay on a 8-day cruise which we were totally fine with.
This was a nice detailed review. I will say after just getting off the Horizon, some really fun activities are missing due to social distancing. So usually Carnival has more activities. What line was your first cruise?
