Review summary

My wife and I have been on the Carnival Vista twice. Our first time was for our honeymoon on a Mediterranean Cruises (Athens-Barcelona) and the second time was for our anniversary a year later on a Cruise of the Western Caribbean out of Miami. Both times we stayed in a Havana room, in Europe we had an extended balcony room on the back of the ship over looking the Havana pool area, this was an amazing room! We got to see the sun set almost every night and saw the ports of Europe with unobstructed views! The Caribbean cruise we had an interior room in the Havana area, typical interior room with a Cuban flair, but we still had access to the Havana Bar and Pool area. You get a Havana wrist band at the beginning of the cruise that is your “key” to get into the Havana area. We highly recommend staying in this area! You have a private pool and two hot tubs, a private bar, and sun deck chairs! As for dining on the ship we ate at the ship dining hall almost every night, pretty standard service if you have done a Carnival Cruise before. The Lido area can get very busy since it is a huge ship. JiJi Asian kitchen and Cucina de Capitano both have free options while in port for lunch. For dinner they both are an extra cost, but I must say are with it! Lots of fun activities onboard, my wife and I saw a 3D IMAX movie onboard, the SkyRide is very exciting and fun! Of course the usual activities are also on board; the casino, comedy club, tons of bars, theater shows. If you are thinking of going on the Vista do not hesitate! It is an amazing ship with ton of options for almost anyone!
