Review summary

I was very disappointed with this ship. The cruise felt very crowded with not enough staff, especially wait staff and bartenders. It took anywhere from 20 to 30 mins to get a drink. The staff were very overworked. The food was also mediocre. Dinner was very chaotic and did not flow. We wouldn't get out drinks until mid dinner and there were several times they confused orders. There also not a lot of food options and the main eating area would shut down between 2-6. They now charge for room service which is new for me and I did not agree with. The ship didn't do a lot of activities during the day and when they did it was clustered together all at the same times. They barely played music while outside. I did like the layout and the amount of chairs and sitting areas they had on the deck. The kids splash pad was awesome but if your child is not potty trained some staff wouldn't let you in. Staff only addressed this issue with select people. The ship did have a lot of things for kids to do and the camp ocean was wonderful. Staff were great and patient. House keeping was excellent and speedy. They were very accommodating too. Shops weren't very great either. Didn't really have specials and didn't have new items throughout the cruise has past ships had. Overall, I wouldn't go on this cruise again.

I love cruising and don't go in the pools because parents think their babies should be in there! Not everyone who cruises has kids with them! Maybe for health reasons someone can't fly anymore, so they cruise out of their home port, but many parents think it's great to take babies, toddlers, and kids out of school! As a retired teacher, I think they should be in school! If I had gone on a cruise when my kids were little, I would have left them with grandma or someone related. I will still enjoy my cruise, while other's kids are running around unsupervised. I know I'll get flak for this, but I probably won't answer. I have better things to do!

Non potty trained children are not supposed to be in the pool areas at all. That’s a standard health code thing. Imagine if the baby had an accident. They’d have to shut it down and then you’d have lots of angry people.

I don’t know, but don’t think your child should be in a community swim area if in a diaper.....eeewwww plus it’s unhealthy

MC, only the night owl room service menu on Carnival has a charge for everything. Breakfast items are free and the rest of the day has a mixed free and cost room service menu

Ghee, I always thought the 4 and 5 day cruises to be booze cruises, but we've done one on the Triumph and two on the Valor and both were great. The 5 day New Year's cruise we took on the Valor was one of the best ones we ever did.

Not all cruise lines charge for room service.

This pretty much sounds like all my cruises rolled into one! I love it! Maybe try a resort next time 🤷🏻‍♀️

Vista was ok for me. They do have problems with crowding. Embarkation day was a mess in Miami. The layout is just not optimal. If you like big boats and want a spacious layout, look at Royal Caribbean any Oasis class ships

I see a pattern here, I have noticed most of the cruises under 5 days have horrific experiences. I have not cruised under 6 days and have had nice experiences. I have a 4 day on the SOS (Bad Acronym) which will bw my first. I wonder will I experience this.

Sounds like cruising might not be for you. Better luck next time.
