Review summary

Was looking so forward to cruising on the Vista. We have cruised on the Dream and LOVED it. We prefer the bigger ships however, was not really impressed with the Vista. Food was just so - so! It wasn't kept as clean as we would have expected. Carnival is changing - a lot more things cost extra - we purchased the cheers program again on this cruise but will never do that again. Love to cruise but may checkout other cruise lines. I'm being nice by giving a "4".

We sailed on the Vista this summer and had yet another wonderful experience. I will admit i still love the Magic better but we r booked in a havana cabin next summer in the Vista and i cannot wait. Carnival does not water down their drinks in anyway thats just one reason we love the drink package. I like the feedback on the other cruise lines as we r carnival cruisers for life. Happy sailing 🛳

Btw, you are sooooo right about NCL and RcCL. One more is the Princess cruise line. That is a snorefest after around 11PM.

I totally agree with allthat815. I've been on the vista in 2016 and 2017 and never had a problem. The only bad thing were people leaving plates outside and the staff were slow picking them up. This year I'm going on the horizon Oct 28th and Nov 24th. I can't wait. I've tried 2 Norwegian, they were laid back, but the white party was great, I tried celebrity once, that was enough, and I tried royal caribbean, they were slow and laid back. That's a cruise when you want to relax. I'm young and like to have fun and party. I'm not talking bad about any ship because they all have good and bad, but I prefer carnival.

We also went on the Vista Feb 2018 and loved it! Loved the food. JiJi's, Cucina Del Capitano, Seafood Shack, Guys Burger Joint and Pig & Anchor and main dining room...outstanding! Found the ship to be very clean and beautiful. We did miss the glass elevators in the atrium, but hardly a deal breaker. The staff was awesome from the room steward, to the wait staff, to the CD. Loved Matt Mitcham! He's outstanding as well. Sorry, but tried RC and never again. Found them to be kind of a snobby, older clientele, but to each his own. Carnival is so much fun. Will never go back to RC

I cruised on the Vista Feb 2018 and I have to agree with you. I found the common areas were usually not kept clean and we waited a long time for elevators. I can’t walk stairs without pain and found myself enduring the pain to take the stairs just to get where I wanted to go. I had the cheers package and found the drinks to be watered down at most of the bars. I gave Carnival another try with this Vista cruise, but I will stick with Celebrity and RCL
