Carnival Vista

Sail date: August 19, 2018

Ship: Carnival Vista

Review summary

The Vista is our third ship w/ Carnival and it was our least favorite. The ships design is beautiful and the staff did their best but the sheer number of people takes its toll and it shows. It was difficult keeping the ship clean in the dining areas and public areas, the wait for elevators was aggravating and the wait for food was extraordinarily long. I enjoyed myself much more on the smaller ships.

@randpitfan was this some sort of promotional or cruise intended for creating the advertising or promotion materials?

@jallaway No I didn’t realize that. It certainly didn’t feel like it.

@randpitfan No offense, but I seriously doubt that.

When I cruised on it there was about 2000. It didn't seem overly crowded. Most people sat around the pools but didn't get in them. Then again, I usually cruise when kids are back in school 🏫

There was only 800 passengers on it when the wife and I cruised on it. We did not wait in line for anyting.

I felt the same way. It's a pretty ship, but too crowded.

Prefer smaller ships also

I certainly understand. It's like living in a small rural community verses a large city. The bright shiny objects are pretty to look at but then again you yearn for the quiet less crowded life style too!! Makes sense!! LARGER ship MORE passengers spending more $$$$...

It's a big ship, but nowhere near the size of a mega-ship. did you realize it only holds about 200 more passengers than a dream class ship?

I seem to be getting the picture. The larger the ship the more passengers and less % crew. (Cut backs to save/make more money)
