Review summary

Vista is huge and gorgeous but they definately cut corners to squeeze in as many people as possible. We stayed for a 6 day to jamaica, grand cayman & cozumel. The spa is a huge dissapointment. Same with the spa level and serentity. The waterslides line with tons of kids and noise is on the same level just steps away from the relaxing serenity area making for a noisy less relaxful area. There were 20 min waits in lines for breakfast on dembarkment days. Room 12202 is wedged between 2 housekeeping closets and is VERY noisy all night long. It also required moving the bed in order to access the balcony...very awkward. Housekeeping comes in 2-3xa day and each time they moved the bed again so that we couldnt access the balcony and required us moving it back. We ended up just putting out the do not disturb door hanger for the last 3 days. There is NEVER an open loumge chair. Ever!  Glad i had a balcony.  Went out early to save a seat on day 4 since i hadnt been able to score a chair before then, and went back to get my daughter ready and came back to everything gone. There is a 15minute rule and the staff removes your items and places them at the towel station. Uggh.. never got a chance to lay out and soak up the sun anywhere but my balcony. We had in room

television issues and was delivered melted chocolate covered strawberries. Just irritating nuisances but didnt reck our trip as its still a vacation!   Blue iguana has the best food!

Located between 2 housekeeping closets and VERY loud. There is a 1am shift that works all night scrubbing carpets in the hall and constantly slamming the closet doors until about 6am. I am not a light sleeper and it kept me awake most nights. The beds have to be moved to access the balcony which is odd and awkward. The sprinklers from the spa window cleaners kick on throughout the night so everything is soaking wet on balcony in AM but it also kicked on while i was laying out soaking up sun at about 5pm oneday. I got a Heavy duty spray down trying to gather my towels and items to get inside real quick. It has a Great color scheme and nice sized tv. We had tv issues when renting videos where it would go black halfway through each video and start over. They were unable to correct it.

Ship tip

There is a TON of people packed on this ship. Prepare for lines for everything. Give Extra 20 min for breakfast of dembarkment days. Vista is not worth purchasing a spa level deck. Spa is lacking on this ship.

Sounds like your room was in a bad spot, Ugh....I've learned to always look up the entire layout of the ship before booking so I know where my room will be. I like to know what areas surround my room, what's above and beneath the room. I'm looking forward to our cruise in July, (3months). Hopefully the large crowd won't effect my view of the ship. 😊

In my experience there is always chairs available, always. They may not be available around the pool or in front of the movie screen but if you just want sun and ocean views you can get them. Hurray for deck hands following the rules!
